I know how the live-action adaptation became a total pile of s#$@.
But there's always this thought in my mind--what if an Avatar live-action film would be made, but it would be a prequel? Maybe a story happening during the 100 years Aang was froze in ice? It would be cool to see Iroh in his prime, leading the armies of the Fire Nation in their invasion of the whole world.
Plus, if they did something like prequel a story still connected to the Avatar universe, but does not adhere to the story of the show would be amazing. They can make it darker--partnered up with the awesome lore of Avatar, that would make a good movie. And it would get rid of the stigma of fans comparing it to the original show. I mean, how can you condense a story spanning a whole season into one 2-hour long movie?
