The movie starts off with Robert Langdon (Tom Hanks) in the hospital and all hell starts to break loose. The word hell is literally used as the enemy's goal is to let all hell break loose by using the black plague virus to kill off a large part of the population. However, the plot suffers from way too many holes as the viewer is left confused and left wondering if the holes were intentionally put in there or was the author or the filmmaker forgot to address it. Other than that, it is a fast paced movie and we all know what the ending is going to be like.
Unlike the Da Vinci Code, Inferno does not have a compelling story line and a biological thriller is hidden behind piece of historical clues where Langdon's problem solving skills comes in handy. However, the movie does a great job in letting us know that Langdon is not actually as smart as he seems. One positive for the movie is the acclaimed international cast that might have been used to attract an international audience. The badass in the movie was not Tom Hanks, but a lesser known Bollywood actor named Irffan Khan. If you're bored and looking for a movie to pass your time, you should give this movie a chance.
Fmovies has the high quality version if you were thinking about watching it online and skipping it at the theatres.
