    Bryan Cranston was great in Trumbo. I also think he has a legitimate shot at the title unless Damon or DiCaprio wins for other reasons.

    Hmm, Mad Max: Fury Road could be the best action movie of the year. But definitely NOT the best picture! It's just a ton of action during the to and fro trip from the citadel. The movie was incredible fun, but it just doesn't have a plot.

    Best Director
    Who Should Win
    George Miller, the man who directed all of the Mad Max movies, is nominated here. But the man who should win this award is the same who won last year, Alejandro González Iñárritu. While Mad Max is my favorite 2015 movie, The Revenant is almost flawlessly directed.
    Who Will Win
    I actually think that Iñárritu will get the award, since he received best director at the Globes. Plus critics and audiences have been creaming over the The Revenant since it's release.

    @JackRabbitSlims

    I think it's gonna be neither and Ridley Scott is gonna take the title for "The Martian". It's a pretty rare skill to keep people engaged to the screen while Matt Damon is growing potatoes using poop samples and Ridley Scott pulled it off.

    Best Actor
    Who Should Win
    One of my favorite performances of the year was Bryan Cranston in Trumbo. The actor really takes a hold of the character here and is my pick for the most deserving of the actors nominated. Damon was good, and Fassbender was great, but Cranston was fascinating.
    Who Will Win
    "GIVE DICAPRIO THE OSCAR! GIVE HIM THE OSCAR!!!" An army of displeased fans will rise up and revolt if Leo is not given the golden statue this year. Although The Revenant was a great film, let's be honest, most people could have played Hugh Glass. The working conditions were exhausting, I'm not disputing that, but there was no moment in that movie where I felt where DiCaprio was giving the performance of the year.

    @JackRabbitSlims

    I think Cranston is gonna win. He did a terrific job in Trumbo as a unbelievably gifted writer who also has to manage his family. I also thought Diane Lane was amazing. Bryan and Diane had great chemistry.

      Are the winners actually decided by fan favorites? I mean, does the academy get swayed by fan's opinion? xD Anyway, I think Di Caprio deserves an Oscar this year. Most of the time we see him on screen, he doesn't even say anything just grunting and manly noises lol. But seriously, even though most of his acting was just sounds and facial expressions he still managed to pull off such an interesting character.

      Ridley Scott for The Martian? You gotta be kidding me. I think The Revenant is probably gonna win it just because the revenant was a superior production.

        You think the Revenant is a superior production? In what world is that true since Scott had to recreate the feel of an entire planet to get the Martian going. In terms of production value, The Martian is great but storywise, I thought the Revenant was better. I prefer a revenge story anyday over growing potatoes on top of poop samples lol.

          The Revenant did have some pretty awesome shots. Sometimes I got left thinking "Wait, how did they shoot that?" But the again the way a movie is shot is not the only basis of a Best Director winner.

            True, The Wachowskis never won a Best Director Oscar for The Matrix. They may win a razzie this time for Jupiter Ascending though. Lol
