Meh, fuck the haters and the racial controversy. Danny Rand is White. And just because he knows Kung Fu doesn't mean he should be Asian. If that's the case, Batman should've been Asian as well, and so should Daredevil. And Doctor Strange should've be an Indian 'cause he deals with mystical forces. We all saw what Black-washing the Human torch looked like in the Fantastic Four reboot. No offense, Michael B Jordan was awesome in Creed; but somethings you just gotta leave untouched.
Daniel Radcliffe and Elijah Wood were the Lead characters of highly successful movie franchises. Much like what Luke Skywalker & Princess Leia were for 'Star Wars'; neither of them became famous for any of their other roles (that I know of), but Harrison Ford went on to become a superstar. He wasn't just Han Solo, he's also Rick Deckard (Blade Runner), Indiana Jones (!!!), Dr. Richard Kimble (The Fugitive), Jack Ryan (Patriot Games, Clear and present danger) and the freakin' President of the United States XD (Air Force One). A handful of memorable roles just because he had the charisma to exist outside of the 'Star Wars' franchise.
And Hermione Granger is now also Belle, The Beauty.
I guess, the people who saw the animated movie as kids and loved it, wanted to catch the live-action version, and brought their kids along as well. $$ Plus it's a Disney movie and there's Emma Watson in it. $$$$$
Haha, I thought "La La Land" was just okay too. But a friend of mine who was watching it for the second time was like "Wtf, man, La La Land is the best movie ever" lol; even though he slept through half the movie during the rewatch. XD
