I think what made the transporter series so appealing for some is because Statham was in it xD without him it would be a bad movie or worse movie. What I'm trying to say is people mostly watched those films because he's there.
Actually, the book's ending was way better. In the end, neville got captures by those vampire things, and was sentenced to execution (yup) and as he is brought up to the execution thingy he realizes that they're not the monsters--he is and now he's a tale to be told for the new beings that will rules the earth. He is now a legend. Yup, I think that's how it goes, working only by memory here.
Hugo Strange is more like a background villain or maybe just a secondary villain. And yeah, people won't recognize the guy--It's really unfortunate that way. Batman has an awesome rogue gallery, hopefully one day we'll see the Riddler, Strange, Mad Hatter, heck even Man-Bat in a full film xD
Hope they really do justice to the games lore in these movies. Since this is based off the 1st or 2nd game, we won't be seeing the lich king yet, but hopefully this movie will do so well that it may spawn a series of films that will eventually lead up to the Mist of Pandaria.. I mean The Frozen Throne xD
