This was just bad. How could a major hollywood studio F**k up a franchise that has thousands of material to source from. Oh wait, it's Fox -.- Hope the rights to F4 goes back to Marvel, but even there I think it would be a bit iffy to make another movie--seeing as the past 3 F4 films weren't good.
The way Netflix did the fight scenes for Daredevil was really realistic, you can actually feel as if Matt Murdock was exhausted with all the fighting, putting more emphasis on the fact that he's just some human in a black/red suit. (That happens to have extreme martial arts skills) In TDK trilogy, Batman looks like he's superhuman sometimes, beating up a dozen of guys with just few chops and punches.
The twists in this movie were so shocking, really. At the end I really got confused and pissed at the guy for staying with the girl. I wonder what their child's reaction would be when he/she finds out their parents' past. But probably, the child would be as crazy as the two were.
Seeing this movie, I wasn't so overwhelmed with all the time-traveling twists since I already read the short story it was based off of. But for an Oscar nomination? Nah it wasn't that good, it was just mind-blowing. Unless the Oscar's have a category for mind-blowing movies of the year.
It could've been an awesome tale about the world of tomorrow, instead we got a main female character that become irrelevant at some point and some weird love thing between George Clooney and that robot girl. But it did have some awesome CGI, and yes, the movie had potential, but it fell short.
I think in the case of Interstellar, the hype did kill the movie, it became overrated because of the hype. But actually it was pretty good, it did something most Hollywood movies nowadays don't do, and that is have an original story that explores a new concept.
This movie does have some great actors in it, and as you said the creators are trying to make it as realistic as possible, so I think i'll be watching this soon. Hope it doesn't have some disaster movie cliches.
Was Tom Cruise still running like a muppet? I bet Tom Cruise was running like a muppet. HAHA Seriously though, I have high hopes for this movie and I hope I can see it soon! And I think Tom Cruise is no longer a Scientologist?
In terms of the time they were created, I think New Hope is better? I mean it was one of the films that really did something incredible with VFX. But only time will tell for The Force Awakens, but it's expected that it has some awesome CGI.
Wow really? We already had a film about his life in like the 90's? But it was more a mash-up of his novels and real life really. I bet this is gonna be epic, seeing as "Heneral Luna" did really well here in the Philippines and it was something more akin to a Hollywood-level production.
